Burger joints and other fast food establishments will have to take a backseat to what Nathaniel Ru and his crew have cooked up. Eating healthy is something that people don’t give much thought to. He has done his best to secure a restaurant establishment that is unlike anything else that is out there. Subway has low calorie meals, but Subway stores are not doing what Sweetgreen is going. There are restaurants that have salad bars, but places like Olive Garden are not doing what Sweetgreen is doing. This is a restaurant that has an open kitchen. There are fresh vegetables that are distributed from a farm that is close vicinity. It is like Sweetgreen has become the spot that makes healthy eating exciting because there is a new element involved. This is one of the first times that people have been able to see healthy food in a trendy way.
They have seen how the millennials have picked up on the concept of communicating through Twitter and Instagram. Nathaniel knew that this would be the best way to promote Sweetgreen. That is why he has made social media an intricate part of his marketing strategy.
